Unfortunately we are at the mercy of our credit card processor verifying your credit cards information and accepting it as low risk.
For Canada and UK this is about a 99% success rate of card acceptance.
Outside of these two countries our success rate drops to about 5% using credit cards.
This is unfortunately outside of our control as its part of our financial systems risk assessment on which cards are accepted and which are denied.
We STRONGLY recommend if you are outside the USA, Canada and UK to use Bitcoin when making a purchase. We are big believers in Bitcoin for online commerce. We run our node and payment processing server. This means we can control entirely who can pay us (anyone of legal age from anywhere). We are so committed that we automatically discount your entire cart 25% when you pay with Bitcoin. If you’re having technical trouble getting Bitcoin to work, please reach out, we are happy to find a solution in your country for you that will be painless and easy and we are committed to working with you in verifying orders or if you did it wrong and making sure you come out right.
“My Order was marked as ‘Failed’ and I am outside of the USA”
If your order was marked as failed our Credit Card processor has rejected the transaction. We do not have control over this.
In a credit card transaction there are 4 parties involved. The customer, the customers bank card issuer, the businesses merchant processor and the business. When you make an order you are telling your bank to approve a charge to the merchant processor. If the merchant processor rejects the transaction your bank will leave open the approval charge for a few minutes up to 48 hours. In your online banking portal, this will probably look like a charge from us, but if you get a “Failed” status from US our merchant processor did not accept it. This typically resolves in that 48hr window and your bank will amend the transaction to show that even though the charge was approved and showing, it didn’t go through and your balance is back to what it was before you tried the transaction.
